Summit: Mount Jackson
Trail route: Webster-Jackson Trail and Jackson Branch up and back out
Trail conditions: Areas of wet trail and mud with some slick rocks and roots but a lot of dry trail, upper ledges were dry
Weather: Warm with some humidity, hazy blue sky and sunshine
Total miles: 5.2 RT
Total time: 4:28
Hike summary: It was a great morning for a hike and the air temp was much better than on my hike to Mount Waumbek yesterday. I got an early start and was back down just before noontime. I actually had to put on a long sleeve layer when I arrived at the summit as there was a cool breeze but definitely a day for basking in the sunshine. It was careful footing on the way back down the trail over some wet rocks and roots. There were plenty of mushrooms along the way of all shapes and colors providing the camera with a good workout. This was my 10th hike to the summit of Jackson. A hike to this summit in September and January and I'll have Mount Jackson gridded out!
